2015 European Harvard Club Leaders Conference

Please join European Harvard Club Leaders and local Harvard alumni for dinner on Friday, September 25 at the Royal Dublin Society, Anglesea Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. The evening will begin with a festive drink at 7:30pm, followed by seated dinner and program.
Dinner program will feature a lecture by Harvard faculty member Catherine McKenna on “Out of the Closet and into the World: Robert Flaherty’s Lost Irish Language Fil.” This presentation will tell the story of the making of the film, the connections between Harvard and Ireland in the 1930s that led to the acquisition of the print, its disappearance into the “Z-Closet”, and its rediscovery and restoration. We’ll conclude with a screening of the restored short film, which was first shown at Harvard in February of this year and in Dublin in June.
